Chapter 2: Making Friends
A few days later, Hedgehog, Porcupine and Skunk had settled down in their new home in the ocean and explored all the food ideas. They decided it was time to make new friends. Besides, more friends meant more fun and fewer chances of being eaten!
One by one, the three friends approached all the different types of animals they had seen in the ocean.
Together they decided to visit different groups of animals and see what category they fell in.
The first stop was the cluster of small fish. These tiny fish were scaredy cats. They were too busy running away from every animal they saw!
Next up they joined the flocks of admirers around the famous stingrays. The stingrays were fairy like with their long, beautiful fins but were too hard to talk to.
On the other side of the ocean, they met the vain jellyfish. The jellyfish had cool ink-throwing skills which would have made them perfect for being their new best friend! However, the jellyfish were too proud to be friends with anyone other than their own kind.
One day, Hedgehog, Porcupine and Skunk stumbled upon the fascinating starfish. These creatures were as beautiful as the stars in the sky but could be easily mistaken for rocks for they stayed as still as statues for the most part.
Then there were the talkative octopi who would engross you in their stories while plotting to capture you in their tentacles. The three of them almost got eaten and barely escaped!
The friendly pod of dolphins dropped by to say hello. They all had fun together but all too soon it was time to say farewell as the dolphins were migrating to another part of the ocean.
