Chapter 1: The Beginning

One day the icebergs melted, and the water arose. All the animals of the world started running towards the north pole. 

Why? Well, because that was supposed to be the best place to go even though it’s the coldest!

On this grand adventure, Hedgehog found himself next to Skunk and Porcupine! It was such a long, long journey that they had time to fight, be nice, play games and become friends. 

Just when it seemed that the road would never end, they saw the great, big, blue ocean! It was so pretty, with big white mountains of ice floating along in it. 

They thought they would take a minute to admire it, but the tide of animals behind them pushed them onwards. Before they knew it, splash! The water was on them. They were inside the great, big ocean.

This was a different world from the one they knew. It was vast, blue and watery! 

There were colorful things which looked like plants, except they felt different and called themselves corals! 

There were little fish, big fish, all kids of creatures swimming about. 

There were even big wavy fish called sting rays. 

There were things that looked like pieces of sponges and were sucking in water. 

There were big, blue giants called blue whales. 

It was all quite fascinating and frightening. They had to find new types of food like little animals called clams, small fish and some water plants for food. 

Once they adapted, they were happy and ready to settle into this new place and new life.
